Data sources and licences

The initial 4,458 open-data directory entries were derived from Overture Maps Places, release 2026-08-19.0, imported on 15 September 2026. Original names, categories, contacts and provider attribution come from the dataset. Dumela has standardised selected town names and telephone formatting, grouped categories and filtered candidates.

Business details change over time. You can help keep Dumela current by reporting a correction.

Provider attribution

Data from Meta, Microsoft, Foursquare, AllThePlaces and Overture Maps Foundation where identified in each listing. Each listing shows its contributing providers and licences. Full upstream source details are retained with the import evidence.

Coverage and corrections

We combine published business information with community contributions. Coverage grows as more local places and events are added.

Use Dumela’s correction form to submit a suggestion for the directory owner to review. Sign-in is required; submissions do not publish automatically.
